Ja'Net DuBois, the beloved TV actress, was an accomplished singer-songwriter who composed and performed the iconic theme song to "The Jeffersons." Co-stars, celebrities and fans all paid tribute to her, including a touching Instagram post by Janet Jackson, who played DuBois' adopted daughter, Penny, on "Good Times.”
DuBois was awarded the TV Land Impact Icon Award in 2006 for "Good Times" and earned two primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance on "The PJs." She is survived by her three children: Rani DuBois, Yocanne DuBois and Burghardt DuBois.
