Ricoh McClain in custody after fatal stabbing

A Maryland man who allegedly stabbed fatally someone during a fight that may have been over the notorious Popeyes chicken sandwich has been arrested.

Ricoh McClain was taken into custody in connection to the Nov. 4 stabbing of Kevin Tyrell Davis, Prince George’s County police said via Twitter on Thursday. The investigation is currently ongoing, and authorities offered no further information on the arrest.

Police released a photo of McClain, 30, on Tuesday and asked that anyone with information on his whereabouts contact the authorities. McClain allegedly stabbed Davis, 28, on the evening of Nov. 4; he and Davis got into a “brief verbal argument” at a Popeye’s restaurant in Oxon Hill after Davis allegedly cut in line in front of others who were waiting to place their order, authorities said.

That argument carried on outside after McClain and Davis left the restaurant together; once outside, McClain allegedly “immediately stabbed” Davis once before fleeing the scene.
